Do you have a passion for the Humanities and for the Peer-Review process?

Then apply to for a position with the Undergraduate Research Journal for the Humanities for the 2017-2018 issue!

We have openings for ten student editors and a Website Manager. The student editors review all submissions and decide which ones to publish. The Website Manager is in charge of our website.

Eligibility Requirements for the Editorial Committee:

(a) Be a sophomore or higher in the 2017-2018 school year
(b) Must be on campus for the full 2017-2018 school year (this does not include breaks)
(c) Have some experience with research either in a class or outside of class

(a) In an email addressed to Matt Dunn at urjh@ku.edu, put:

  • Major(s) and minor(s)
  • Year in school
  • Overall GPA and major(s) GPA
  • Would you like to also be considered for the positions of Secretary or Treasurer?

(b) Attach a mini-personal statement (150-300 words) which explains why you want this position; what experience, if any, you have with writing and editing academic works; and, explain why you are a good applicant for this position.
(c) Attach your edited version of the sample paragraphs. Here is the document that you must review for grammar and content.

Eligibility Requirements for the Website Manager:

(a) Be a sophomore or higher in the 2017-2018 school year.
(b) Have some experience with constructing and managing websites.
